Q:

NCAA Football 25 on PC – Is It Running Smooth for You or Full of Bugs?

After years of waiting, NCAA Football 25 is now available on the PC platform—and it’s a big deal. This is the first time PC players can enjoy a genuine next-generation college football experience powered by EA Sports’ Frostbite engine. The game revives fan favorites such as Dynasty and Road to Glory, while also incorporating dynamic weather, real-time crowd enthusiasm, and over 130 officially licensed teams.

While the visuals are amazing and the action is engaging, many users are experiencing problems, especially with mid-range systems. Common issues include FPS decreases during kickoffs, launch crashes (particularly for AMD GPUs), and Xbox controller mapping errors. According to Steam statistics, the game has already received over 500,000 downloads in its first week, and reviews have been mainly positive—but PC performance varies greatly.

If you’re experiencing lags, try switching to DX11 in the settings menu, updating GPU drivers, and lowering crowd animations. Mod support is already in the works too, which might impact stability.

So, PC players—how’s it running for you? What settings or fixes have worked best on your system? Let’s figure this out together.

Modding potential is through the roof. Already built a 1995 roster with accurate gear and faces. Just wait till the full tools drop—this game’s lifespan is gonna be nuts.

PC port is better than I expected but still not great. No ultrawide support and no DLSS? C’mon EA, this ain’t 2013.

Feels like Madden with a band in the background. Not hating—it’s still fun—but wish tackling felt less weightless. Maybe it’s the engine.

Would love to see sliders shared in this thread. Who’s got realistic settings for 8-minute quarters?

I’ve been testing all the weather combos—snow games in Michigan look amazing but tank FPS even on my 7900XTX. They need a better performance scaler.

Bro, I waited 11 years for this and now it crashes every time I try to use custom uniforms. 😭 Hope the modding community patches what EA won’t.

I can’t believe we’re back to importing high school stats and choosing scholarship offers again. This is the golden age, people. Don’t complain—mod and enjoy!

Running on ultra with zero problems. Intel Arc A770 + i5-13400 build. Pleasant surprise. Don’t sleep on the budget setups.

Is anyone using reshade with it? Curious if you’ve found good settings. Default contrast and lighting feel flat to me.

Game looks good, but frame pacing is trash unless I cap FPS manually. Try RTSS if you haven’t already. VSync doesn’t fix it.

Dynasty is life. Year 3 with Mississippi State and already turned the program into a playoff beast. Only bug I hit is coaching carousel crashing if I skip too fast.

Yes! Especially in online games. Play-action is basically a sack setup. Needs tuning ASAP.

Yooo, play-action plays feel super sluggish for me. QB hangs way too long in animations. Anyone else seeing this?

No lag issues on my end (Radeon 6700XT), but I do wish EA let us rebind controls more easily. The current layout on keyboard is weird and uncustomizable.

Trying to run this on a MacBook Pro with Parallels. Big mistake. Don’t do it. It’s like watching PowerPoint slides of a football game.
