Why Rayman Legends Is Still a Top Platformer for PC Gamers?

Rayman Legends, originally released in 2013 by Ubisoft, continues to shine as a top-tier platformer for PC gamers even in 2025. Known for its vibrant hand-drawn art style, fluid controls, and rhythm-based level design, the game offers a unique blend of fun and challenge rarely matched in modern platformers. With over 5 million downloads across all platforms and a 95% “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam, Rayman Legends proves that great design and gameplay never go out of style.

Players can enjoy solo or co-op modes with up to 4 friends, tackle over 120 levels, and test their reflexes in chaotic but fair platforming sections. While the game is well-optimized for most systems, some users have reported occasional controller input lag or fullscreen scaling issues on high-resolution monitors—both of which can usually be fixed by adjusting display settings or launching the game in windowed mode. Whether you’re a longtime fan or a newcomer to the genre, Rayman Legends delivers timeless entertainment with modern polish.

What makes a platformer truly timeless for you—tight gameplay, art style, or replayability?

Just here to say: Legends is art. Literal, moving art.

Is the mobile version worth trying or should I stick to PC?

Never thought I’d like a game without dialogue so much. Visual storytelling is top tier.

Ubisoft, if you’re reading this: remaster it or make a sequel. Please!

Are there any mods or HD texture packs for it? Would love to push visuals even more.

That underwater level with the stealth fish still gives me anxiety 😅

One of the few games where 2D platforming feels modern, not nostalgic.

Had a crash issue on Windows 10 but fixed it by running in compatibility mode. Just FYI for anyone stuck.

It’s on sale often too. Got mine for $5 and easily got 40+ hours out of it.

Co-op is so good it almost ruins solo for me 😂 My brother and I laughed nonstop.

I wish there were more games that respected players’ time the way Legends does—tight, rewarding levels, no filler.

I’ve been playing since the original Rayman on PS1, and Legends is by far the most polished entry.

It’s wild that Rayman’s not more popular in the current platformer boom. People are sleeping on this!

Even after 10 years, it doesn’t feel “retro” to me—it just feels fun.
