Rayman Legends, originally released in 2013 by Ubisoft, continues to shine as a top-tier platformer for PC gamers even in 2025. Known for its vibrant hand-drawn art style, fluid controls, and rhythm-based level design, the game offers a unique blend of fun and challenge rarely matched in modern platformers. With over 5 million downloads across all platforms and a 95% “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam, Rayman Legends proves that great design and gameplay never go out of style.

Players can enjoy solo or co-op modes with up to 4 friends, tackle over 120 levels, and test their reflexes in chaotic but fair platforming sections. While the game is well-optimized for most systems, some users have reported occasional controller input lag or fullscreen scaling issues on high-resolution monitors—both of which can usually be fixed by adjusting display settings or launching the game in windowed mode. Whether you’re a longtime fan or a newcomer to the genre, Rayman Legends delivers timeless entertainment with modern polish.

What makes a platformer truly timeless for you—tight gameplay, art style, or replayability?

Can confirm: runs at 144 FPS with no issues on my RTX 3060 and 1440p monitor.

I had controller lag too, but switching from Bluetooth to wired fixed everything.

Wish they’d make a Legends 2 instead of all the Rabbids spin-offs 🙄

Every time I play “Dragon Slayer” or “Gloo Gloo,” I get chills. The music sync is too good.

Honestly, I prefer it over Mario. There, I said it.

Still one of the smoothest platformers I’ve ever played. Ubisoft nailed it with this one

Great post! I think Rayman Legends deserves way more attention, especially now when many platformers focus too much on complexity. This game strikes a perfect balance between challenge and accessibility. I introduced it to my kids, and they instantly loved it—co-op mode is chaotic in the best way. I only had to tweak resolution scaling once to fix a tiny display issue.

Absolutely agree. I just replayed Rayman Legends on Steam Deck last week, and it still feels fresh. The level design is creative and the music stages—especially “Castle Rock”—are masterpieces. Honestly, even newer platformers can’t match the rhythm and polish this game offers. I never experienced any technical issues either, even on Windows 11. For a game over a decade old, it holds up incredibly well.
